Jerusalem Old and New Tour (1 day)

Location:  Jerusalem, Israel
Starting From: US $68.00

There is probably no city in the world that has more historical and spiritual significance than Jerusalem, being considered sacred by Christianity, Judaism and Islam. No visit to Israel would be complete without seeing the Old City of Jerusalem as well as visiting Yad Vashem, Israel's Holocaust Museum and Memorial.

In this one day tour, we'll show you some of the most important sites in Old and New Jerusalem and let you absorb Jerusalem's unique history, culture and atmosphere accompanied by our experienced government-licensed tour guides.

To book this tour, please select a date on the calendar to the right.

Additional Information

Children under the age of 5 years are not accepted.

After being picked up from your hotel in a luxury air-conditioned coach, your first stop will be a breathtaking panoramic view of Jerusalem. You will be able to see from your vantage point the Old City with its four quarters - Jewish, Christian, Muslim and Armenian,  the Mount of Olives, where Jesus stood when he wept over Jerusalem, the Al-Aqsa Mosque, where Muslims believe Mohammad was transported to from the Sacred Mosque in Mecca during the Night Journey, as well as the Western (Wailing) Wall, the last remaining supporting wall of the Jewish Temple

After you have spent some time taking in Jerusalem's view, you will be taken to the Old City where you will commence a walking tour which includes Mount Zion (which contains Dormition Abbey, King David's Tomb and the Room of the Last Supper), the Cardo (the paved Roman avenue), Via Dolorosa (the path Jesus walked while carrying the Cross to the place of his Crucifixion), the Church of the Holy Sepulchre (where the Crucifixion and Resurrection took place) and the Western (Wailing) Wall.

After a break for lunch (either bring your own, or buy lunch at one of the many restaurants in the area) the tour continues with a drive past the Knesset (Israel's parliament) with a visit to Yad Vashem (Israel's Holocaust museum) and return transfer to your hotel pick up location.

Please note: On Saturdays and Jewish Holidays Yad Vashem is closed, and an alternative site will be included in the itinerary.
